A NOTE FROM RANDY FRAZEE
When I got into pastoring, I soon discovered that the majority of our people—the VAST majority—could not talk through the basic storyline of the Bible and most had not experienced it cover for cover for themselves. We are talking about people who had been a part of the church for 10, 20 years, or longer. They didn’t understand the full extent of what God did to get us back—the full weight of his love for us. They didn’t know how powerfully the Old Testament sets up the New Testament. They thought the gospel—the good news—began in Matthew 1, and had never seen that it actually begins in Genesis 3, the moment humanity fell.
It seems to me that one of the basic ROIs (return on investment) after a year or two of being involved in a church is that you would know the story of the Bible and have read the Bible all the way through at least once. Think about it, we are asking people to base their entire life on the principles taught in this book. Something that important, in my opinion, means they should have the basic storyline down.
But they don't.
So, I set out on a mission to solve this problem for the people I was given to shepherd and disciple. In this workshop, I will share what I have learned about how to build a wildly successful Bible engagement campaign for your church.
This works. This gets the lightbulb to go on for people. They finally GET IT. The Bible finally makes sense to them. To know I have trained and prepared somebody to now pick up their full Bibles with confidence to find direction for their daily life makes me one very fulfilled pastor.

Meet Randy Frazee
Randy Frazee is Pastor Emeritus at Westside Family Church in Kansas City. A frontrunner and innovator in spiritual formation and biblical community, Randy is the architect of The Story and BELIEVE church engagement campaigns. He is also the author of Encountering God’s Love from Genesis to Revelation; The Heart of the Story; Think, Act, Be Like Jesus; and What Happens After You Die.
