Many believers are overwhelmed by the thought of daily Bible reading. They often start off with the best of intentions, tackling several chapters in one sitting each day only to feel defeated just a few weeks in when they get behind on their reading or hit a wall when they get to the book of Leviticus.
When teaching us how to pray, Jesus instructed that we should ask God to “give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). Note it is DAILY bread. Just as manna fell each day for the children of Israel in the wilderness, we need a daily portion of God’s Word to sustain us.
